Karen currently lives in Flower Mound after moving here with her husband, Shane, and children (Jarrett, Hallie, and Peyton) from New Jersey in 2015. She joined CrossFit Flower Mound one week after arriving in Texas and immediately felt like part of the community. Karen spends her days (and often nights) taking care of her three active children in high school, middle, and elementary school as well as taking care of her mother who lives locally. Karen’s life-long love for exercise drew her to try CrossFit on her 40th birthday. After years of running, endless aerobics/step classes, kickboxing, boot camp, and Pilates, she finally found the sport of fitness that satisfied her competitive drive and desire for continuous results. While her education and professional experience was in business, Karen joined the staff in 2018 as an instructor and obtained her CF Level 1 to help motivate and work with others. Karen has competed in several local competitions in NJ and Texas, the CrossFit Open, and most recently qualified for the master’s online regional competition in the 2018 CrossFit Open. Outside of CrossFit, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Amanda fell in love with CrossFit because of the constant variation in the workouts and the weightlifting. Amanda joined the staff in 2018 and obtained her Brand X Method kids certification to coach the kids and teens classes. Outside of CrossFit, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, watching trashy TV shows after her kids to go bed (lol) and going on lunch dates with her dad.

She has attended classes consistently for those 7 years and realized that helping others get through a tough workout keeps her coming back. She always points to the community as the best part of the past 7 years.
Lindsey lives in Highland Village with her husband Michael (whom she met here at CFFM!), her 5 kids, Ryon, Mylee, Jude, and twins Rowan and Quynn and two pets: the cutest Persian cat named Luna and a golden retriever named Georgia. Lucia lives in Flower Mound with her husband, Michael, and their daughter, Sasha (13). She works at Sally Beauty as an Inventory Planner. Her most favorite hobby is CrossFit. The gym is her happy place and she loves connecting with other people. Lucia also enjoys biking, hiking, camping and reading. Before starting CrossFit she did bootcamps, but didn’t feel challenged. So, she decided to give CrossFit a try, where she found out how much she loves the barbell!
One of the reasons Lucia wanted to become a coach is because she loves watching and helping people achieve something for the first time...getting their first pull-up, toes to bar or a muscle-up is huge. She will be the loudest cheerleader because she knows how much it means when an athlete achieves something they have worked for a long time to get. She would like to pass her passion on to our athletes and become better together.
